Looking for 2 Skating Assistants

We are looking for 2 skating assistants for Lakeview Community Association’s Wednesday evening Learn to Skate classes.
Ideal applicant has excellent skating skills, with previous instructing experience. Must be reliable, enthusiastic and patient working with young children and adults learning to skate.
One Instructor will instruct 5-7 pm
One Instructor will instruct 5-6 pm
When: Wednesdays from 5-7 p.m., October-December & January-March 2019 (9 weeks each)
Where: Balfour Arena, 68 Massey Rd, Regina, SK.
Wage: based on qualifications and experience, will be discussed at interview.

Lakeview Park Update

If you haven’t seen already, phase 1 of the Lakeview Park Project is complete, trees have been planted along the North and East sides of the ball diamond!
Plans for phase 2 are the playground update and pump track, hopefully in 2020 if all goes well.

Spring and Summer Zumba

Spring Dates and Times: There are 2 classes left for the spring, on Mondays 6-7 p.m. May 27th and June 3rd at Lakeview School Gym
Cost: $7 drop-in or $25 for 5 classes
For the summer (June-Aug) Zumba will be held at a different location, day of the week and time:
Dates and Times: Tuesdays 6:30-7:30 p.m. June 4th – Aug 27th 2019
Location: Cathedral Neighbourhood Centre (2900 13th Ave)
Cost: $7 drop-in or $65 for 13 classes
To Register: show up a little early to the first class or drop in anytime

Spring Classes – Zumba and Yoga

We have some spring classes underway:


  • When: Mondays from 6:00-7:00 p.m., April 29-June 3 (no class May 20)
  • Where: Lakeview School Gym
  • Cost: $25 for 5 classes or $7 drop-in
  • Instructor: Jamie

Beginner Hatha Flow Yoga

  • When: Thursdays from 6:00-7:00 p.m., May 2-June 6
  • Where: Lakeview School Gym
  • Cost: $35 for 6 classes or $7 drop-in
  • Instructor: Beatriz

Lakeview Park Project update

The Lakeview Community Association (LCA) is in the process of planning some new additions to the Lakeview Park (on the corner of Montague St. and McCallum Ave).  We hope to make it a place where people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds can safely gather, play, move around, relax and enjoy some time outdoors all year round.

Free Intro to Basketball class for ages 6-7 Apr 1 – May 13

LCA will be offering a FREE Introduction to basketball class for ages 6-7 at Lakeview School gym starting this Monday, April 1st, from 7-8 p.m., lead by a community volunteer.
Class description: This program is a skills-based introduction to basketball.
It is designed to teach the basic fundamentals and promote a love for the

Have your say about Les Sherman Park today!

The City of Regina is planning to replace the play structure in Les Sherman Park, located at 4055 15th Avenue. The existing play equipment will be removed and new play equipment will be installed immediately across the path.

The City is asking for feedback from the community to ensure the best play experience possible is provided with the new playground. Area residents are invited to provide their feedback by completing a short survey. It can be found online at www.Regina.ca/lesshermanpark
