We live in HL and really like it. So far we haven't had any problems. The area is really booming and there are some beautiful homes out here.

Yeah I know thanks. It worth a shot. Just don't know many people living there now and would like to hear some positives and negatives from people go actually live there. I'm going from builder to builder saying it's ok it's ok. Thanks for leaving my post up.

Hi Tom. Great questions, but I'm not sure that we have the readership here to answer them. It's a two year old post after all. (Maybe I'll be surprised!) Good luck with your search though.

Looking to build a home in Harbour Landing. I have heard 3 people recommend me not to build there. These 3 people are very knowledgeable about building houses around Regina. I've also heard of houses being condemned because their houses has been sinking. I've also heard of concrete cracking faster than a normal rate because of all the salt (because of the old snow dump site). I know builders are trying to proceed by using T50 concrete and building basements over piles. I like the fact that there are close amenities and I like the South End the best in Regina. Can anyone who is living there now or know of anyone give me a better analysis of the area to clear up rumours?

Has anyone looked at the Harbour Landing website? On there, it was a pdf of where the flight path is and it doesn't go near Harbour Landing. I do Land Development work and so I look at the drawings and details of Harbour Landing often (although my project isnt Harbour Landing). I wouldn't want to live there tho due to it being so close to Walmart and crap... I personally would like to be somewhere farther away from commercial places.

Anway check this out http://www.harbourlanding.net/landingsoverview

Theres a link down on the bottom right for the flight path I was talking about

I live very close to the airport and the planes do not bother us so to the people that are concerned they are worried needlessly. If a fighter jet comes by well then yes you can hear it, but honestly how many of those do we get. I think this is going to be a great new development just hope they develop it better than the east was developed. We need some new developements down here, and with the Supercentre coming in it will be great.

Hi Kristo. Thanks for the comment.

I live within a short walk of the airport and it's not all that noisy. Granted, I'm not right on the flight path. And I grew up near the train tracks so I guess I'm used to some noise. :)

Most everyone gets to choose where they live, but if all new subdivisions are built exactly the same way, what type of choice is there really? The point I was trying to make is this new subdivision was designed at the start to be different -- a chance to improve upon the car centric subdivisions sprawling out in the northwest and southeast. That changed a lot once approvals were given, which is something more than a shame.

I really don't think this is a good idea. If someone wants to pay for a lot near an AIRPORT and hear the planes coming in at night, they're crazy.
People just want "what's new'" and "what's in" and the city is making Harbor Landing seem like the "ideal" place to be. People will consider anything if someone of power says it's good. I guess it's up to them, but personally, I wouldn't take a lot there if it was $10,000.
That's just my thought.
