Lakeview Community Association is excited to introduce a NEW Adult Hockey League!

We often hear from Adults who would love to play hockey but find that many adult leagues are offered late at night during the work week. We have a solution! We’re offering Just-for-Fun, No-Contact Adult Hockey on Saturdays afternoons at the Optimist Arena!

This is a recreational league focused on getting on the ice, having fun, getting some exercise, and enjoying hockey with friends – without the pressure of competitive league play.

What to expect:

  • You will be placed on a team (You will have the option on the registration form to request to play with a few friends)
  • We will create the teams/schedule
  • This is just-for-fun recreational hockey.
  • No body checking or intentional contact
  • There will be no refs/timekeepers
  • Players are expected to follow the rules and play respectfully and safely.
  • This program is intended to to be welcoming to a variety of skill levels.

Equipment needed:

  • Full hockey gear (skates, shin pads, cup, socks, pants, shoulder pads, elbow pads, neck guard).
  • Up to date CSA approved helmet (not expired).
  • Jerseys (light/darks)
    **Note: if this program is a success we will provide jerseys next year – this year is a trial.

Program Information:

  • Location: the Optimist Arena at 222 Sunset Dr.
  • Dates: Saturdays Oct 24 to Dec 12 & Jan 16 to Mar 6 
  • Times: 3:45 – 6:30 PM

Please note: Teams will play at different times within the Saturday ice time. For example:

Team 1 vs Team 3: 3:45 – 5:00 PM
Team 2 vs Team 4: 5:15 – 6:30 PM
Your team’s specific game times will be provided once teams and the schedule have been finalized

  • Ages: 18+
  • Cost: $255 per player/ Goaltenders: FREE

Because this is a brand new program to the LCA, registration will initially be used to determine whether we have enough players to proceed. No payment will be required at the time of registration.

Once the minimum numbers of players has been reached, invoices will be sent.
