Did you know that the LCA Mini Mites Hockey is one of the most popular beginner hockey programs in Regina? Geared for participants 5 & 6 years old, the program is a fun way to learn the basic skills of Canada’s most popular sport.
Mini Mites players should have basic skating skills. Nothing fancy, but our instructors will be more focused on helping the kids deal with skating with all the gear rather than learning to skate. LCA offers a great Learn to Skate program for kids just getting started on the ice. Check it out here.
The hour is usually divided up into ~30 minutes of drills & skill development and ~30 minutes of games. All players need full hockey gear including a stick, helmet with cage or a full face shield and a throat guard. Jerseys are supplied.
